Our Music Ministry is coordinated by Pastor Henry and Brother Jerry
Oates, our Minister of Music.

Brother Oates is a native of Faison, North Carolina and has been
involved in the ministry of music from a very young age. He
has worked with various choirs and churches in Wayne, Duplin, and

in Faison, Goldsboro and Mount Olive, North Carolina.
Brother Oates moved to Wilmington in 1991 to attend the University
of North Carolina at Wilmington under a full academic scholarship.
While there, he served as a musician for the UNC-W Gospel Choir and
as a member of the UNC-W Concert choir. In addition, he served
as Minister of Music for Warner Temple AME Zion church from 1992
until 2004 under the pastorate of Reverend Terry L. Jones, Sr.

Rejoice
in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is
comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with
harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an
instrument of ten strings.Sing unto him a
new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
For the word of the LORD is right; and all
his works are done in truth. PSALM 33:
1-4 (KJV)
