But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning
God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.
He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
II Thessalonians 2: 13-15

There are three (3) ways in which persons may be admitted as members to the Baptist Church. After the sermon, the Worship Leader “opens the doors of the Church”. It is at this time one comes forth publicly by one of the following three modes of admission:

By Baptism

A person may be admitted to the Church on a profession of faith in Christ, by baptism. He/she makes known their desire for baptism and union with the Church to the Deacons. Baptism is by water, with total immersion. Baptism declares one dead to the world and sin, buried, and raised up to newness of life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

By Letter

Members often move from the vicinity of the Church with which they have united. Then it becomes their duty, and should be their desire to connect themselves with another Church. If the potential member’s former Church is within a 30-mile radius of Macedonia, a letter of commendation and dismission should be obtained from the Church in which the person wishes to transfer from so that the membership may be properly transferred.

On Christian Experience

It sometimes happens that persons who have been Baptized, desires to unite with another Church. They bring no letters, nor are they rebaptized. If their home church is located more than thirty miles they may join by an implied account of their conversion and Christian life

Once at the altar, a Decision Record must be completed. Our New Members ministry will contact you with further instructions on the process you must complete in order to become a member of Macedonia.
